Disc Picks

Frequently asked questions

The short answers. For the full rules — formats, scoring tables, and reuse settings — see how to play.

What is Disc Picks?

Disc Picks is a free fantasy game for professional disc golf. You pick pros from Disc Golf Pro Tour events, your score comes from their real results, and leagues settle it over the season. You can play weekly pick'em with friends or enter the free site-wide promo contest that runs for every big event.

How does fantasy disc golf work?

Like fantasy football, but for the disc golf tour. Before each pro event you pick which players you think will do best. When the real tournament is played, their finishes become your score, and the standings in your league update automatically.

Is Disc Picks free?

Yes — completely free. Sign up, join or start as many leagues as you like, and use every analytics page. There are no paid tiers.

How do the promo contests work?

Each big event has one site-wide contest that anyone can enter for free, no league needed. You draft a small roster of MPO and FPO pros while staying under a point budget, where the best players cost the most, and your roster scores off the real results. Some promos have prizes, like giveaway discs, shown right on the promo page. You can start building a roster before you even have an account.

Do I need to download an app?

No. Disc Picks runs in the browser at discpicks.com and works on phones, tablets, and desktops. There is nothing to install.

How do picks work?

Before each Elite Series, Major, or Silver Series event, everyone in your league picks one pro (or one MPO and one FPO pro, in two-division leagues). Your pick's weekend becomes your score, counted the way your league chose: finish points, strokes to par, or cash won.

When do picks lock?

Picks lock at the time listed for each tournament. Until then you can change your pick as many times as you like.

What happens if my player withdraws?

If your pick drops out of the field before the event starts, the pick is flagged and you get an email so you can choose someone else before lock. If the event has already started, the pick scores like any other missed event under your league's rules.

Can I run a league with just my friends?

Yes. Create a private league and share its invite code — only people with the code can join. Public leagues are open to anyone.

Which tournaments count?

Disc Pro Tour weekends: Elite Series, Majors, and Silver Series events. Commissioners can narrow that down — for example, a Majors-only league.

Can I pick the same player every week?

That's up to your league. Commissioners choose unlimited reuse, once per season (one-and-done), or a per-player use limit.

Do I need a PDGA number to play?

No. A PDGA number is only used if you want to look up your own player stats — it has nothing to do with making picks.

Where does the data come from?

Fields, results, ratings, and round scores are synced from public PDGA tour data, usually within hours of a round finishing. Picks are scored automatically — nobody keeps a spreadsheet.
