Privacy
The short version: we don't sell your data. Here's what we store and how ads measurement works.
What we store
Your account: username, email address, and a hashed password. Profile extras like PDGA number, location, and bio are optional and only there if you added them. Beyond that it's game data: your leagues, your picks, and the scores they earned. If you win a promo prize, we'll ask for a shipping address by email; it's used to send the prize and isn't stored on your account.
Who sees your picks
Picks stay hidden from other members until the tournament locks at round one, so nobody can copy. After that, picks and standings are visible to your league. Public league pages (including standings and season history) are visible to anyone; private leagues are only visible to their members.
We send email to verify your address, reset your password, and keep you posted on your leagues. League emails can be switched off on your profile, and anything promotional only goes out if you opted in. Delivery runs through Resend; your address isn't shared with anyone else.
Analytics and cookies
We keep our own simple visit log: which pages get hit, when, and by what kind of browser. It tells us what gets used and helps catch errors. Your IP address is never stored; visits are counted with a one-way salted hash. The essential cookies Django needs to keep you signed in and protect forms are always present.
When we run advertising, we also use Google Ads (and optionally Google Analytics) to measure which ads bring people to Disc Picks and whether they sign up. That loads Google's tag on the site and may set Google cookies used for campaign measurement and conversion tracking. We don't use those tools to sell your data, and we don't place third-party ad banners on the site itself.
Removing your data
Leaving a league deletes your picks in it. If you want your account gone entirely, email [email protected] from the address on your account and it'll be removed, picks and all.
Questions
If you have a question about your data, this policy, or anything else on the site, email [email protected]. A real person reads it.
This page is kept honest the same way the rest of the site is built: if something changes, it gets written down here first.
