Disc Picks

How to play

Disc Picks is weekly pick'em for the pro disc golf tour. Before each Elite Series, Major, or Silver Series event, everyone in your league picks one pro. Your pick's weekend becomes your score, and the season standings settle who actually knows disc golf.

The basics

  1. 1

Join or start a league. Public leagues are open to anyone; private leagues need an invite code from the commissioner. Starting your own takes about a minute.

  2. 2

Pick one pro before each event. Depending on the league, that's one MPO pick, one FPO pick, or one of each. Check the field analytics — ratings, course history, and recent form — then commit. Picks lock at the time listed for each tournament.

  3. 3

Scores post automatically. Results sync from PDGA tour data and picks are scored without anyone touching a spreadsheet. Standings update as the weekend plays out.

Three league formats

Weekly Pick'em

The classic. Everyone picks each event, scores stack up all season, and the best total tops the standings. Miss a week and you simply score nothing for it.

Survivor

Your pick has to finish at or above the league's cutoff (top 20 by default) or you take a strike. Run out of lives and you're eliminated — last member standing wins. Survivor is always one-and-done: once you've used a player, you can't pick them again that season.

Head-to-Head

Members pair off each event and your pick only has to outscore one opponent's. Win the matchup, climb the table. Odd-sized leagues rotate a bye.

Three ways to score

Finish points

Your pick's finish position converts to points from a preset table. Tied players split the points for the places they occupy. Leagues choose one of three presets:

Preset 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th Below 5th
Standard 100 90 85 80 75 −5 per place to 10th, then −2
Top-heavy 150 110 90 75 65 −5 per place to 10th, then −2
Flat 100 95 92 89 86 −3 per place to 10th, then −1

Leagues can also make Majors worth 1.5× points, so the biggest weekends carry the biggest swings.

Strokes to par

Golf-style: your pick's final score to par is your score, and the lowest season total wins. A pick that DNFs counts as even par. A pick that doesn't post a score for any other reason (DNS, DQ, or skipped the event) takes the division's worst counted score plus a two-stroke penalty.

Cash won

Your pick's prize money, in whole dollars, is your score. Miss the cash line and the week pays nothing — chalk stops looking so safe.

Player reuse

Commissioners decide how often the same pro can be picked over a season: unlimited (ride your favorite all year), once per season (one-and-done — every pick burns a player), or a custom limit per player. Reuse rules are where league strategy really diverges.

Locks and withdrawals

Picks lock at the time listed for each tournament; until then you can change your mind freely. If your picked player withdraws from the field before lock, the pick is flagged and you get an email so you can re-pick. Once the event is underway, a withdrawal scores like any other missed event under your league's scoring method.
