The short version: it's a free fantasy game between friends. Play fair and don't wreck it for everyone else.
The game
Disc Picks is a free fantasy pick'em for professional disc golf. You pick pros, their real-world results score your picks, and your league settles it over the season. It's a game. There's no money on the line here and no entry fees. If your league wagers among themselves, that's your business and your local laws, not ours.
Promos and prizes
Site-wide promo contests are free to enter — no purchase, no entry fee, and nothing to buy here anyway. Some promos come with prizes (usually discs); what's up for grabs and who wins it is spelled out on that promo's page. Winners are picked by the promo's scoring and tiebreakers, and contacted at their account email after the event is scored. Reply with a shipping address within 14 days or the prize moves down the leaderboard. If a listed disc turns out to be unavailable, we'll substitute one of similar value. Prizes are only offered where a free skill contest like this is legal, and we can only ship to places the mail actually reaches.
Your account
One account per person, and you're responsible for what happens on it. Use a real email address (you'll need to verify it to play), keep your password to yourself, and pick a username you'd be fine with your leaguemates (and, in public leagues, the internet) seeing.
Fair play
Don't abuse the site: no scraping at a rate that hurts it, no trying to see picks before lock, no exploiting bugs for an edge (email [email protected] instead and earn eternal glory), and nothing in usernames, league names, or bios that you wouldn't say at a tournament with kids around. Commissioners run their own leagues and can remove members; we can remove leagues or accounts that break these rules.
Scores and data
Results come from published PDGA tournament data. We work to keep scoring accurate, and corrected results are re-scored when the PDGA updates them, but mistakes and delays happen. Standings may shift when corrections land. If something looks wrong, flag it to your commissioner; scoring disputes are settled by re-running the real results, not by arguments.
No promises
The site is provided as-is, free of charge, and run in spare time. We aim for it to be up and correct, especially on tournament weekends, but we can't guarantee uptime, and we're not liable for a missed pick reminder, a scoring hiccup, or a lost season of bragging rights. We may change or discontinue features; if the site ever shuts down for good, we'll say so ahead of time.
Leaving
You can leave a league (which deletes your picks in it) or have your whole account removed at any time. See Privacy for how. We're not attached to your data, just the game.
